CASTLE wasn’t created in a corporate office by people who have never taught a phonics lesson. It was born from our own need for a better way to document the "whole child."

She understands the regulatory hurdles you face because she helps families jump over them every day.
Steeped in Scholarship
While our hearts are in the home, our framework is built on rigorous academic ground. Matt brings a lifetime of learning to the architecture of CASTLE. As a college faculty member, a pastor, and one-time government bureaucrat, he has spent his career at the intersection of theology, education, and project management.
With a Ph.D. grounded in educational philosophy and learning theory, Matt’s goal wasn't to create a "lofty" academic exercise, but to translate complex research into a practical tool that actually works for busy parents. He is a "perpetual learner" who believes that assessment shouldn't be a scary "final exam," but a reflective practice that helps students understand how they are growing.
Why We Built This
We saw a gap between the rich, vibrant learning happening in homeschools and the "bubble-sheet" testing required to prove it. We knew there was a way to use modern technology—including responsibly trained AI—to capture the beauty of the homeschooling process without sacrificing academic validity.
